About the event
Join us for a night of prayer, storytelling, and discussion as we embark on the journey towards the High Holidays. Selichot are special prayers recited during the High Holy Days, a period of self-reflection and repentance. These prayers focus on asking forgiveness for sins and wrongdoings. Traditionally, Selichot aren't recited until after a specific time, normally midnight as the first part of the night is considered to be a time of judgement. This Selichot prayer night goes beyond traditional observance, offering a late-night gathering for open discussion and shared reflection.
We'll recite Selichot together, with explanations of the prayers and their significance. The floor will be open for everyone to share stories, ask questions, and delve deeper into the themes of forgiveness and introspection. Don't miss this opportunity to mingle with the community over refreshments and engaging conversation!
