On Sunday, the 15th of September, Rabbi Mendy Korer embarked on a 106-kilometer ultramarathon along the River Thames, beginning at Runnymede and concluding in Dartford. The entire run was completed in 15 hours and 45 minutes.
The demanding journey aimed to raise funds for Chabad Islington’s core operation, a charity and community that Rabbi Korer has dedicated his life to serving. The goal was to gather support from at least 100 individuals, each donating £1 per kilometer. The fundraiser on www.M25toM25.com has reached over £13,000.
Rabbi Korer explained, "Chabad encourages everyone to strive for their best and to not hold back, be an Ultra Jew. To practice what we preach, I have taken on a massive challenge… a relaxing 100 kilometer run!”
