We are sorry to inform you of the passing of Raymond Harris, aged 89. Raymond grew up in Islington and was one of the last members of Poets Road Synagogue. We met Raymond when we first moved to Islington in 2011 and he became a regular attendee and supporter of Chabad Islington. He particularly enjoyed the annual Islington Menorah Lighting and was very proud to be called the ‘Zeide of Islington’. He is mourned by his daughter Yvonne, sister, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
