‘Madness, and the Healing of Madness’ is the first of a series of autumn events hosted by Ein Sof Gallery and supported by Arts Council England, looking at mental health and its full breadth from a Jewish lens. Ein Sof Gallery invites Vanessa Woolf for an artist talk on the subject, infused with a storytelling session that delves into Rabbi Nachman of Breslov’s The Rooster Prince, the Book of Daniel, and Nebuchadnezzer’s madness.

Vanessa’s cleverly bricolaged references beg essential questions about identity, and how the way we live and the things we do root us into who we are. Her talk and performance seek to explore how essential this is for mental health and stability.
