Events and Programmes Manager – Freelance (10 hours per week).
Chabad-Lubavitch of Islington is a small charity supporting primarily the Jewish community residing in Islington. We welcome and positively encourage all, whatever faith or none. In addition to religious events and synagogue services, we provide social events, educational classes, group activities and community support for adults, families, children, young people and the elderly.
Being mindful of Islington’s rich and diverse mix of people, our aim is to actively promote inclusivity and community cohesion in Islington and its surrounding areas. We do this via our talks in schools, walking tours, classes, plus large-scale public events, such as the Big Jewish Summer Fete and Chanukah Menorah Lighting.
About the role.
The Events and Programmes Manager role is a key and central role in our team. The E&P Manager will ensure the smooth running of our high quality events and programmes. Working strategically, in line with future plans, the E&P Manager will increase frequency or implement new events as required. This dynamic role includes, with other staff, recruitment and support of volunteers, updating our website and social media, logging feedback for reporting, producing regular newsletters and Kosheroo coordination.
We seek a confident, creative team member, with excellent organisational, IT and project management skills, who can work well on their own initiative but also in a team. The candidate will have a warm, professional disposition, an ability to form solid relationships with various stakeholders and have an eye for attention to detail.

The postholder will be responsible for monthly invoicing and tax return/National Insurance.
We offer £17-£18 per hour (gross/freelance) according to experience, flexible working (office/home).
